A Note From Tammie
Rather than attempt to stitch each event together as a seamless story, I have chosen to let them live in their own chapters - just like my life - it certainly wasn't seamless.
I treasure the pieces of memory I have been fortunate enough to hang on to. Some of these may not be complete memories, but rather, small glimpses of happenings that demonstrate the feeling and essence of these experiences. Take them in as tiny echoes from the mind of a confused child crying out into the void for answers no one seems able to share with her.
What I promise my readers is that I painstakingly combed through my manuscript making sure, to the best of my ability, that this is a true recall in complete and total honesty. There is no heroine in this story. This is a journey of trials and tests stripping me to the bone as I share a life time of trial and error, sometimes stumbling, sometimes rising, while always propelling forward.
I am profoundly grateful for all of the experiences, even the scary ones which in their own way eventually guided me to accepting and embracing my authentic self.
